FOR EVERYONE INTERESTED IN GARDENING, WITH A SPECIAL FOCUS ON HARDY PLANTS

The Lincolnshire Group of the Hardy Plant Society, is the largest local group within the National Hardy Plant Society having almost 300 members from different parts of the county. The group was registered in 1993 and now offers many activities in addition to the monthly  meetings.
The group meets for speakers on the fourth Saturday of the month, January to April and September to November, at William Farr School, Lincoln Road, Welton, LN2 3JB, to hear a variety of speakers and enjoy light refreshments afterwards in a friendly social atmosphere. At each meeting there is a members' plant stall where you can bring your own to sell and/or buy from other members.

There is an annual Plant Fair in May, local nurseries attend and members can bring their plants to sell on the members' table.

A bi-annual lecture day gives members an opportunity to enjoy a day of lectures from more well known speakers.

Holidays and Day Trips are organised around suitable open gardens to visit.

Workshops  give members an opportunity to learn new skills or improve existing ones with everything from propagating to willow weaving.

Lincolnshire members are also active in Seed Packing in November as part  of  the National Seed Distribution Scheme.

A monthly newsletter keeps members up to date with events and is a means of sharing gardening knowledge, experiences and general  information.
