Lincs HPS Day Excursion to 2 Gardens:

Felley Priory in North West Nottinghamshire and Church Lane, Letwell in South Yorkshire on Thursday, 11th July, 2024.

Felley Priory, has been planted so that there are plants of interest all year round, many of which are available to buy in the fully stocked plant nursery. The herbaceous borders are the highlight of the summer months and the adjoining walled rose garden is filled with old fashioned roses – Gallicas, Bourbons, Moss Roses, Damasks, Albas and Chinensis.  Under the old Elizabethan wall are many agapanthus and some tender shrubs.  The borders around the old walls have a mixture of trees and shrubs under-planted by geraniums, hostas, digitalis and meconopsis, amongst others.

An uplifting garden of enduring and year-round charm.” Country Life, July 2017.
